Cycling from Rochdale the route goes through Whitworth, Bacup, over Deerplay, Padiham to Springwood picnic site, Whalley. It’s not unsual for those without Chris Froome’s ability to come this far by car! From there the route goes through Billington to Ribchester and over Jeffrey Hill through Cow Ark, Balshall Eaves to Waddington for lunch. From there it goes back to Whalley via Edisford Bridge and Mitton and if you’ve ridden there from  Rochdale, you go back the same way.  Total distance is about 80 miles. If you start and finish at the picnic site at Whalley it’s about 30 miles with some of the best scenery Lancashire has to offer.
