The weather was back to normal – warm and sunny – for today’s ride. Going through Sa Pobla to Santa Maria for lunch and then onto Bunyola and the ‘Orient’. The first 35 miles were fairly flat until we reached the foot of the ‘Orient’ as the Col d’Orient is known. Rising up from Bunyola to a height of 1800 ft before descending slightly and kicking up again through the village to the top followed by a long, winding descent. After regrouping at the bottom it was an undulating ride back through Lloseta and Campanet to base.
Total distance 73 miles with 3300 ft of ascent.
